Construction Assistant Project Manager

  • Coordinate with project managers to complete projects on time, within budget and to specified quality and regulatory standards. The APM conducts business and manages relationships in alignment with the mission and values of Green Heart Enterprises.

  • Develop pre-construction RFP package

  • Assist in creating and managing project budget

  • Ensure that all project documentation is filed and current

  • Assist in planning, conducting, documenting all project meetings

  • Define project milestones and generate progress reports associated with each milestone

  • Establish job processes including approving pay applications and negotiating subcontractor change orders

  • Ensure all project schedules are updated and communicated regularly

  • Identify any potential obstacles or risks to project

  • Assist in managing the closeout process

  • Collaborate with the project superintendent and all other project team members throughout the project lifecycle

  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor

  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Description/Duties:

Education & Experience Qualifications:

  • High school diploma

  • 2-5 years’ experience in commercial construction and working with a general contractor

  • Has a passion for the construction industry, establishing strong client relationships, and driving quality and excellence

  • Proficient in project specific software; ProCore, Bluebeam, Adobe, and Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, or other scheduling software

  • Demonstrates behaviors that align to the Green Heart values.

  • Motivated, proactive, and self-starting

  • Manages detail and quality with pace of work and customer expectations

  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills

  • Interprets data and information and communicate insights and actions needed

  • Demonstrates an understanding of all elements of a project fit together in context of the bigger picture

  • Continuously develops skills and abilities and seeks opportunities to expand knowledge and experiences across market segments and complex projects

  • Establishes and maintains collaborative relationship within GHE and externally within the industry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree from an accredited university within the construction, engineering, or business concentrations

  • Previous experience on commercial job sites

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards

  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
